Cropadapt2026 - Adapt to thrive: enhancing multi-stress tolerance for crop resilience

Cropadapt logo

‘Adapt to thrive: Enhancing Multi-Stress Tolerance for Crop Resilience’ is a young scientist-led symposium that brings together researchers, students, and professionals from across the plant sciences community. The program is structured around two complementary perspectives: immediate resilience, focusing on how plants endure stress today, and future resilience, exploring innovative ways to shape the next generation of crops.

The mission of the symposium is to bring together researchers working on plant stress across Belgium and beyond, with a focus on connecting disciplines and translating research into practical solutions.

We aim to highlight solution-oriented research that advances our understanding of plant stress while supporting the development of real-world management strategies. At the same time, we want to showcase the diversity of approaches in this field, from soil health and biotic stress to breeding, modelling, and emerging stress challenges.

An important part of the symposium is to create space for early-career researchers to build networks beyond their immediate fields and to communicate their research within a broader scientific community.
